SHARKS ELITE TRAVEL PROGRAM
The Mission of the Sharks ELITE Travel Program is to provide our advanced players with the opportunity to play against the best teams in the Nation (and Internationally). We also take the opportunity to visit parts of the country that the players may or may not otherwise get to visit. In 2013 and 2014, the Sharks Boys teams have traveled to San Diego, Kauai, Hilo, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Jose and Sacramento.
Although one of the goals of travel is for our elite players to gain exposure to college scouts, and possibly earn scholarships, the primary goal of the ELITE TRAVEL program is to allow the players the opportunity to appreciate the cultural, historical and social aspects of traveling and playing in other states and islands.
The Sharks 13 and 15U teams next travel opportunity will be to Washington DC and New York City July 17-30 2015. There may be a trip in between, but all our fundraising efforts are geared towards this 2015 summer trip, which will include visits to the Smithsonian Museums, several colleges in VA, Pennsylvania, and New York, and all the sites in New York. We also plan to play top AAU competition from the DC, Maryland and New York area.
